This is what 9 months post partum looks like… for me.
I am strong and I have absolutely no idea what I weigh.
My mindset has officially shifted and it is so freeing. I refuse to comply with the ridiculous aesthetic standards society push down our throats on a daily basis. I am so much more than that.
I can bench press 35kg, pump out 10-15 push-ups on my toes and I can run 5km in 24 minutes. You know what else I can do? I can also carry Eloise, Millie and 3-4 shopping bags…. all at the same time.
Every woman’s post partum journey is different and under no circumstances should we ever compare our body to someone else’s. I nourish my body with whole foods and I eat until I am just about full. I drink plenty of water and on the weekend, if I feel like it, I will have a beer or two. Sometimes I eat cookies. Sometimes I don’t.
My life is all about balance and I am now eating, training and caring for myself in a way that supports my goal of having a strong and functional body!
