I have come across a product and I can safely say that I will be repurchasing this again and again and again (and again) until the day I die. Introducing, Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre (imagine me pronouncing that in a fancy French accent).
Magic in a tube.
Let’s get STARTED!!
1. Price and where to buy
This product is easily accessible to purchase online in Australia (I purchased mine from a Brisbane-based store called “Makeup and Glow”) however I have noticed that you can also buy this from Adore Beauty. Both places mentioned above sell this little beauty for $35 (for 75ml) which, for me, is a pretty reasonable price for such a high-quality, effective product. If you live in France, well, you can just head down to your local pharmacy (you lucky things!!) and for my friends in USA/Canada, I am pretty sure you can purchase Embryolisse products from Amazon.
This moisturiser comes beautifully packaged in a metal tube with a screw-on lid which is great for travel. The tube packaging also ensures that the product inside stays sanitised as you only have to squeeze out the desired amount onto clean hands. No dipping fingers into a germ infested tub! I do wish that the tube was plastic as it would make extracting those last bits of goodness much much easier. As far as I am aware, this particular cream comes in 30ml and 75ml sizes but please, do yourself a favour and don’t even bother buying the 30ml… go straight for the 75ml. If only they sold it in 3 litre bottles! Ha!
The ingredients are nothing new, advanced or fancy. Maybe that’s what is SO good about this product. It’s a no-frills, does what it says, no surprises, moisturiser. There isn’t a SPF in this product, so just be mindful of that if you consider using this during the day.
“Water, Paraffinum Liquidum, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Triethanolamine, Cera Alba, Cetyl Palmitate, Butyrospermum Parkii, Steareth-10, Polyacrylamide C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Propylene Glycol, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Aloe Barbadensis 1, 2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Tropolone, Fragrance.”
Embryolisse do not test on animals.
This concentrated cream can be used for many things. First and foremost, moisturiser. Its rich, yet not heavy and gluggy. It absorbs beautifully leaving your skin supple and nourished. Which leads into it doubling up as a primer to wear under makeup. I am a mum of a 20 month old and if I can find a product that can save me time in my morning skincare/makeup routine, sign me up! This little gem is also known for removing makeup as well. The mineral oil in this product assists with that function. This moisturiser is heavily used and recommended by makeup artists as it can be used on a wide range of skin types (from dry to oily) and as I mentioned above, it is beautiful when used as a primer. I also discovered that this product can also be used as a repairing mask for extremely dry skin. Is there anything that it can’t do!?
5. My thoughts
I find myself reaching for this product day and night. As it doesn’t contain an SPF, I add my Dermalogica SPF booster this cream which then turns it into an ideal moisturiser for the day. At night, I massage a small amount into my face, neck and décolletage immediately after a shower and if I am feeling like I am needing a little something extra, I will add a few drops of my favourite facial oil to give my skin a real treat. My skin immediately feels plump, soft and nourished.
I have to add that I have combination to oily skin with random patches of dry skin (I blame the dryness on pregnancy hormones). This product doesn’t make my skin produce any excess oil and it doesn’t feel heavy on my skin. A pea-sized amount is all you need to nourish your face and neck. As for fragrance, while it is listed as an ingredient, I can hardly notice any scent at all.
So as you can probably tell, I am in LOVE. I am sitting here trying to find a bad thing to include in this review, but I can honestly say that I have nothing but positive thoughts! Remember, while I sit here bragging about this moisturiser and how well it works for me, we all have different skin types and skin goals so this may not work for you.
It’s love. I reckon I can still squeeze a little bit more out 😉
Have you tried this product? I would love to know what you think of it?
Love Melanie xo
