I have been on the hunt for the perfect SPF for a while now and after a recommendation from Lucy Sparkle Beauty, I was excited to see if it will work for me. What really attracted me to this product was the fact that it is an oil-free formula, it can be used under makeup as a primer and of course, the sun protection factor of 30+. My skin type is combination/oily and I find it so hard to find a sunscreen that doesn’t slide off my face within an hour so I am hoping that this formula works with me. It has the slightest pigment to it but once it is applied and absorbed into the skin, it is completely unnoticable. I was also pleased to notice that it doesn’t have that thick, sunscreeny-type scent to it. So far, it is ticking all my boxes but only time will tell if it is the perfect sunscreen for me.
2. Jurlique Skin Balancing Face Oil
This product is an old favourite of mine. I think this is the 4th bottle I have been through and I’m pretty sure I will keep buying this product until the day I die! When I was initially researching this product the word “oil” in the name completely put me off. Why on earth would I want to add more oil to my already oily skin? Well, I have no idea how it works but as the name of this product states, it is a “balancing” oil which does exactly that! Once I apply the oil, it instantly soaks into my skin, doesn’t leave an greasey film and amazingly, my skin doesn’t seem as oily the next day! Maybe I’ll do an in-depth review on this product because I seriously can’t say enough great things about it. This little gem deserves it’s own blog post!
3. MAC Prolongwear Concealer
Another favourite of mine! I already own this product in the shades NW20 and NC20 but I find that those shades are just a bit too light for me. I purchased this concealer in the shade NC30 so I can mix and match to create the perfect colour for me. If you don’t already own this concealer, I suggest you stop what you are doing right now and get your hands on some! If you need a concealer with maximum coverage that literally does not move, then this is the product for you. I mainly use this on my horrid eye under circles but it also does a brilliant job at covering blemishes, acne scars and pigmentation. In other words, heaven in bottle.
4. MAC Eyeshadow in “Shroom”
This is the most gorgeous ivory/nude shade perfect for highlighting under the brow or brightening up the inner corner of your eye. I can see myself using this product as an all-over lid colour with lashings of mascara if I am after a natural, bright-eyed day look!
5. First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser
After reading a tonne of excellent reviews on this cleanser I just couldn’t help myself. I was due for a new cleanser but wasn’t too keen on spending a lot of money (who ever is!!). Based on the reviews I skimmed over, this product gently but thoroughly cleanses the skin and removes skin impurities and toxins. It’s also loaded with a heap of anti-oxidants to give you beautiful, glowing skin! The best thing? It doesn’t have a huge list of scary and intimidating ingredients… a positive in my book!
Let me know if you want me to do a full review on any or all of these products…. you know I want to!!
